Mini Cine Young Film Festival 3rd March 2012

What a fantastic day that was! We kicked off with the fabulous animation by Sylvain Chomet, The Illusionist. As it rained gently outside the venue, we tucked into popcorn and watched this sad tale of an old man in a changing world. Hi Guys!

There's a lot for you to get engaged with on our Young Film Festival. We have an open submission date for the early days of February. So if you're someone who makes short films, or has created small hand-held clips before in the past, then come along to our open submission day and it would be great to see your work! An award ceremony will take place in March. It is a great opportunity to get your work to be seen and judged by many people (and some high quality directors). So don't hide your hidden talents any longer! : ) If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask. Take care guys. Simo

Christmas is coming and so is the film submissions...

All 13-21 year olds - we are still open to submissions for Lancashire’s mini cine film fest in January! Please submit before by Christmas eve to be in with a chance of having your film screened on the big screen and be up for the winner’s award. We’re currently working with animator Rob Birchall to make a trailer for our festival!! Very exciting! He worked on The Illusionist as an animator and had loads of great ideas. We’re all storyboarding this week so we can start making it soon! It’ll be up on this blog before you know it :) We’re also working with Angie from Me & Yu - a really cool clothes and graphics...
